Our client is a convenience store and travel center enterprise with a 50-year success record. Founded by a single visionary, our client pioneered the unique concept of self-serve gasoline and groceries at one, inclusive stop. The company has impressive reaches into the hospitality industry, as well. It has opened its fourth hotel and currently has eight more under construction, with projected openings throughout the year 2016. Ten more hotels are planned for 2017. An immediate opportunity exists for an accomplished hospitality professional to steward the opening and continuous operation of a brand-new Best Western hotel, which is scheduled to premiere some time in August.
Hotel General Manager
As General Manager, you will commandeer the grand opening of a brand-new Best Western hotel, replete with 87 guest rooms, 27 efficiencies, and many more amenities than what’s normally typical of a Best Western. You’ll oversee the management of the entire hotel staff, with an overarching goal of meeting financial expectations and ensuring continuous customer satisfaction. In doing so, you will exemplify all policies and procedures in order to uphold company standards.
To qualify, you should hold a high school diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree being highly preferred, and possess five or more years of hotel management experience. A past general manager role with a Marriott, a Best Western, a Hilton or Holiday Inn hotel would be a huge plus! A hospitality background that includes experience in the grand opening of a hotel would greatly facilitate your success in this role. Accounting or financial budgeting experience is also required.
